Caregiver
Working directly in a client's home, the Caregiver provides hands-on personal care, companionship, and daily living support to an elderly client — following Trunion's care protocols and staying in close coordination with the assigned Care Manager. This role calls for patience, warmth, physical stamina, and a genuine commitment to treating each client with dignity.

Personal care
- Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and general hygiene.
- Support safe mobility, including wheelchair assistance where required.
- Help with feeding and ensure nutritional needs are met as per any dietary guidance.
Health & medication support
- Remind and assist with medication as scheduled; track and help restock the medicine box.
- Assist with light exercises and movement as directed by the doctor or family.
- Watch for and promptly report any changes in health, mood, or behaviour to the Care Manager.
- Support during medical emergencies and coordinate with the Care Manager for ambulance / hospital arrangements.
Household & daily living support
- Keep the client's immediate surroundings clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Assist with grocery shopping, bill payments, and doctor-visit coordination as part of concierge care.
- Accompany the client on travel within the city or to nearby cities when required.
- Assist with digitizing and organizing medical records and important documents.
Companionship & emotional support
- Provide genuine companionship — conversation, engagement, and emotional support, not just physical care.
- Encourage participation in light activities, hobbies, or Trunion Community events where appropriate.
- Build a relationship of trust and comfort, respecting the client's independence and preferences.
Reporting & coordination
- Share daily updates and observations with the Care Manager.
- Contribute inputs for the monthly report shared with the client's family.
- Follow all care protocols, safety guidelines, and instructions set by the Care Manager or doctor.
Qualifications & experience
- Certificate or diploma in caregiving, nursing assistance, home health aide training, or a related course preferred (e.g., GDA — General Duty Assistant).
- 1–5 years of experience in elder care, patient attending, home nursing, or hospital support; strong aptitude with no experience may be considered for training.
- Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, and first-aid; formal first-aid certification is a plus.
- Physically fit and able to assist with mobility support and physical tasks.
- Must clear Trunion's 4-step verification: Aadhaar, police, court-records, and EQ / soft-skills testing.
Key skills & attributes
- Genuine warmth, patience, and respect toward elderly individuals.
- Reliable and punctual — families depend on consistency.
- Good communication in the local language; basic English / Hindi is a plus.
- Calm and alert in emergencies; able to follow instructions quickly.
- Honest and trustworthy — present in a client's home and around personal belongings.
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and soft-skills upskilling.

The client feels safe, cared for, and treated with dignity every single day.
The family trusts the caregiver completely and has no cause for concern.
Health changes and concerns are noticed early and reported promptly.
The caregiver builds a genuine, respectful relationship — not a transactional one.
