Care Manager
The Care Manager ensures every caregiver assignment runs smoothly — from onboarding and training caregivers, to monitoring day-to-day care quality, to being the first point of escalation when something goes wrong. This role directly owns the promise Trunion makes to families: dependable, dignified, well-coordinated care.

Caregiver management
- Recruit, screen, and coordinate the 4-step verification process for caregivers.
- Onboard and train new caregivers on care protocols, hygiene standards, emergency procedures, and soft-skills.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, spot checks, and refresher / upskilling sessions.
- Manage caregiver scheduling, attendance, and rostering across assigned clients.
- Arrange caregiver replacements within Trunion's 72-hour guarantee whenever a client requests a change.
Client & family relationship management
- Conduct initial home assessments to understand each client's care needs, mobility, medical history, and routine.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, addressing concerns and updates promptly.
- Prepare and share regular (typically monthly) care reports covering health status, activities, and concerns.
- Proactively flag changes in a client's condition, mood, or needs to the family and, where relevant, their doctor.
Care quality & compliance
- Ensure caregivers deliver personal care, medication reminders, nutrition, mobility, and hygiene to Trunion's standards.
- Maintain and periodically audit digitized medical records for each client.
- Ensure homes meet safety standards; coordinate assessments and elder-proofing where needed.
- Maintain documentation for internal quality audits and compliance.
Emergency coordination
- Be a key point of contact in 24/7 emergency response — liaising with ambulances, hospitals, and families.
- Maintain up-to-date emergency contacts, medical histories, and hospital preferences for every client.
- Conduct post-emergency follow-up and documentation.
Operations & reporting
- Track and report on caregiver utilization, client satisfaction, and service-quality metrics to leadership.
- Support concierge-style requests where part of a client's plan.
- Contribute to Trunion Community programming by identifying suitable clients for activities and events.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Hospitality Management, or a related field (geriatric care or nursing is a strong plus).
- 3–7 years of experience in healthcare operations, nursing supervision, hospitality, home-care services, or a similarly people-and-operations-heavy role.
- Prior experience managing a team of frontline staff strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic geriatric health, medication management, and emergency protocols preferred (training provided).
- Comfortable with digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
Key skills & attributes
- High empathy and patience — genuine comfort with elderly clients and their families in sensitive situations.
- Strong communication in the local language and English; able to explain care updates clearly to worried families.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly during medical emergencies.
- Strong organizational skills — managing multiple caregivers and households at once.
- Trustworthy and detail-oriented with sensitive medical and personal information.
- Willing to travel locally across client homes and be reachable for emergencies outside standard hours.
What success looks like
Families feel consistently informed, reassured, and never surprised by a change in their parent's care.
Caregiver attrition and complaints stay low; replacements happen well within the 72-hour guarantee.
Clients experience dignified, high-quality, consistent care day to day.
Emergencies are handled swiftly, calmly, and are well-documented.
